Spent some time trying to repair the music box from Mum's Russian onion dome church memento. The music box is no more, it's cracked too badly to be repaired. The plastic case has broken in several places.

A replacement that appears to be exactly the same from Aliexpress has set me back $7. I'll install that when it gets here and take the repaired piece back with me in October.

Then I started this blog. I have no idea what I have done with the last three months, and I thought it would be a shame if that continued, so decided to experiment with maintaining a blog as a sort of ad hoc diary.
